[ QUOTE ]
There IS no similar genre and that's one of the great things about this movie. It's fresh. Sure, there are movies with these elements separately but not brought together like this. If I had to list movies that I like because I think they were different from everything else I'd pick movies like 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind', 'Brazil', 'Adaptation', 'Memento' and 'Requiem for a Dream' as examples. [/ QUOTE ] So you're saying it's better than those? J/K but thats a pretty strong list |

I've heard costner and hurt are fantastic but the other storylines--demi/dane cook hurt the film.

Roeper liked it. [/ QUOTE ] Ouch. This really hurts your argument, Howard. |

The movie gets going, you don't know what to expect and the next thing your thinking is 'Wow, what's this?' and you can't wait to see what happens next while you enjoy everybody's performance. So, no, it's not that good but it's pretty darn good, imo. |

Yes because any movie Roeper likes must be crap and vice versa. I guess I should run out and see Norbit quick!
Btw - he said he's a huge poker fan and is playing in the WSOP this year. He may even read this. Right. |

He's not horrible but not very good. Demi has a distracting side story but is ok in her main part and has a great knockemdead action scene that makes up for any prior lack. Come to think of it, her side story is vital to the movie so I take that part back. |

I enjoyed it - It was better than Collateral if that makes any sense.

This is a good way to describe how I felt about "Brick". |
