I doubt Nordberg ever bets 5k or less when you check to him on the turn here, and if he does I think you're in trouble.

Nice read, I bet 4500 and was definitely looking for a jam.

BTW, 0evg0, the std C bet in live appears to be considerably smaller in live than online, however, because i am playing another good thinking player i think your right that i should increase it some.

I think I'd just fold PF due to your stack size and the type of play behind you. I would raise with like 35-45k though. And would go allin with something like 8-10k and would also raise one position closer to the button even with your stack size. So not that big a deal really. I also have a lot of fear so I might just check the flop against an aggressive giant stack after me. They are simply not folding many made hands at all, and will occasionally do something weird with zero.

btw whenever someone has a dissapointed look on their face when you fold to a bet, it means they had nothing and are trying to pretend like they wanted action, no matter what they say!!!

so do people only not like checing a heart turn with intention to shove over a bet because our stack isn't big enough to have much of any FE over a typical sized bet? does anyone like it if we have like 30k behind?

Yeah, I had three kings. I really thought that even though you had hung around a long time and didn't seem that frustrated that you would make a play on the turn there. Or at least I wanted to give you the chance to. One thing I noticed, on both of the hands where you raised preflop then continuation bet you instantly checked the turn - maybe you just act that fast all the time, but it seemed like you were going to give up both times you checked. Sometimes if you take a minute to think then check people are a little less likely to bet into you. But if you always play that fast I wouldn't worry about it.

I was fairly happy with my play but made a few mistakes late and didn't make day 2. Good luck with the rest of the Series.

Nordberg's bet/fold range pretty much includes no hands that we're behind with Q high.
