But seriously guys, give the Bible a try. I love the Bible...

It's one of my favorite storybooks.

the ending wasn't great though, it was obvious what was going to happen about 50 pages before the end.

It's one of my favorite storybooks. This God guy really kicks ass, he like kills babies and [censored] and can flood the world. The ending kinda sucked though, rather inconsistent and a few plot holes here and there. You could also say it was rather contrived to give such a happy ending. But the descriptions and metaphors are pretty good for the most parts.

I dunno, it got kinda queer at the end when the author died and his son tried to finish it. He just didn't have the same gusto for it.

What debate?? With a debate you have 2 sides...All I hear is a bunch of people bashing God & Jesus. I will gladly stand alone on the God & Jesus side if you really want to "debate".

The idea of Religion is having FAITH in something. Faith means believing in something without proof. You can't say believing in God is dumb because it has no proof, the point is that it does not need proof, just faith.

PS-I went/am going to Catholic school for 12 years now and none of us (well I guess 99%) try to convert people.

I won't discuss it any further and I've explained it in the past so I don't want to type it up again, but I agree.
And from my experience, Catholics don't seem to be as aggressive about converting people then the other branches; I went to a Catholic school as well, and wasn't really reminded I was going to hell a lot. This is obviously a small sample size. YMMV.

Basically, I don't hate Christians. I hate people.
