Default Re: Final Day of Feb 180/20 Challenge - Post Results - Final Day Sweat!

For those following, entering tonight, ZBT has 2766 having filled 20 and with 18,18,19,19 as his worst results. I have 2713, have filled 19, and have 23, 24, 27, 27 as my worst four.

This is how we match up on top 16-top 19 results.

Top 19 = LFT 2713, ZBT 2695
Top 18 = LFT 2653, ZBT 2624
Top 17 = LFT 2594, ZBT 2551
Top 16 = LFT 2531, ZBT 2479.

In other words, it's god damn close.

here's another suggestion for the next 20/180 challenge: a month is way too short - too much variance and you have to play balls to the wall every day to have a chance.

Conversely, a year seems like too much of a commitment.

What if we made it a spring challenge and went from March 1st through May 31st and used top 50 results? Easier to manage variance and I think that we wouldn't necessarily have to be as psycho trying to fill these in a short amount of time. What say you guys?

Honestly, a quarter would be better, April, May, and June. Tomorrow is March 1 so I don't know if Justin can get it ready in time. Who knows? I'd be in if I had $3k to throw into these.

Don't have my score tallied yet but it is not going to be in contention (unless I get several firsts tonight). I will get my scores together and get the points added up.

Does anyone have an excel macro handy to lookup the TLB points for each finish? I am pulling the data from PT with an external data query in excel but don't have a TLB point lookup.

Just use the formula 309.44/(H2)^0.5, where H2 is the cell with your finish.

And, oh by the way, I RUN GOOD:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com

SB (t950)
Hero (t6105)
UTG (t790)
UTG+1 (t3020)
MP1 (t1325)
MP2 (t5605)
MP3 (t7070)
CO (t1525)
Button (t2795)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls t100, 2 folds, MP2 calls t100, MP3 raises to t600, 3 folds, Hero calls t500, UTG folds, MP2 calls t500.

Flop: (t1950) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks, MP3 bets t1000, Hero raises to t2500, MP2 raises to t5005, MP3 raises to t6470, Hero calls t3005 (All-In).

Turn: (t18930) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t18930) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t18930

Results below:
Hero has As Kh (two pair, aces and kings).
MP2 has Ad 6d (one pair, aces).
MP3 has Qh Ks (two pair, kings and queens).
Outcome: Hero wins t16965. MP3 wins t1965.
