What's considered cheating? If this was the case and we followed your rules then almost anyone successful in any capitalistic society will have nothing. Why? Because everyone cuts corners. Everyone. Don't be a damn liar and say you don't.

Your proposal and anything close to it is absolutely ludacrous and hypocritical and anyone who agrees with it is too.

[/ QUOTE ] What's considered cheating? I think it's pretty simple -- anything that is against the rules that increases the chances that you will win money, and decreases the chances that your opponents will win money.

We can get complicated here and say that rakeback fits under this definition. Or whatever. But here's a a pretty simple way to figure out if something is cheating. Imagine asking the person who finished second in a big tournament to ZeeJustin whether he felt cheated by ZeeJustin's actions?

Did you know that ZeeJustin gets rakeback illegaly (person who finished in second: "So?")
Did you know that ZeeJustin doesn't file taxes on his winnings (person who finished in second: "So?")
Did you know that ZeeJustin had six entries in this tournament (person who finished in second: "XXXXXXXXXXXX")

Fill in the blanks yourself for any situation: Did you know that Zeejustin _____________________ (person who finished in second: _______________)

When the person in second place feels cheated, then the poker community as a whole is threatened. Given the number of people who feel that online poker is rigged to begin with, this is not a trivial issue.

[/ QUOTE ]

All three situations do in fact affect one party or another(haha pun). Whether it is a player, a company, or the country in which that player is a citizen. Cheating is defined as breaking the rules, not as breaking the rules against another poker player. Everyone cheats. So it is hypocritical and dumb to say that all cheaters should have everything taken away from them.

For what it's worth I am mostly content with the punishment and I am more concerned with the people who want to burn Justin at the stake and the people who blindly refuse to look at themselves or Party before lashing at Justin.

We are passing harsh judgement here w/o considering that we are going to drive this poor lad into suicide.

ZeeJustin will never commit suicide. ZeeJustin likes ZeeJustin too much to do something like that.

As for unethical behaviors, how fast did you drive in that 55mph zone this morning on the way to work. Have you ever gone 65, knowing that you were breaking the law?

[/ QUOTE ]

Thats like asking if you ever boned your girlfriend when you were younger knowing it would piss her dad off.

Indy, curious as to what you do that would be considered unethical.

I don't like to judge people or anything but what Zee did was unethical for sure. He phucked it up and should be punished, I'm not arguing that. As for unethical behaviors, how fast did you drive in that 55mph zone this morning on the way to work. Have you ever gone 65, knowing that you were breaking the law?

Indy,

Are you serious. I claim that I am very honerst and sick of hearing people say everyone cuts corners. Then you say if I speed I am unethical. Well, I admit that I go with the speed of traffic (to do otherwise is dangerous). I don't consider that unethical. I don't cheat on my taxes, in poker or in life. I really hope that the majority of people out there do the same. Maybe I am wrong but at least I have a few friends that don't.

Jesus. Christ.

I'm sorry I even tried to defend you somewhat. You have crucified yourself.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow. I can crucify myself over one little statement? I'm amazed. Look at the totality of the situation. We are making a huge mistake by blackballing Zee.

I'm done. If nobody else wants to show mercy then there is nothing I can do.

It's a combination of everything you have said since your original post. It all went downhill from there.

Ok, maybe I said some stupid chit along the way but my message remains intact. Let's stick to the point here.

Look at anybody who makes big bucks in our soceity? You name me one of them (not professional athletes and stuff) who makes over 200K and isn't a bit unethical?

[/ QUOTE ]

Now, this is a sophmoric way of thinking.

Personally, I think JZ is lucky that:

1) This didn't happen in a B&M, in which case he might no longer be ambulatory.
2) Poker sites are *not* regulated by the US government, in which case it might be easier to reposses the money he's already removed from his account.
