Not sure this makes sense, but maybe you'd give me your thoughts. Yesterday I ended up down $76 in ~2000 hands. This breaks down into chunks of losing amounts like this: 40-50 0 30-40 0 20-30 3 10-20 5 5-10 28 1-5 56 0-1 Infinity Is that kind of analysis at all meaningful? Could anything be learnt from this? Is there any way you could leak hunt this way or spot if you are losing too much in certain spots? [/ QUOTE ] i think this is meaningful over a bigger sample size. did you just do it manually? there is a script to do it for you around somewhere, but i can't find it. you are prob just running bad. |

Anyone know how long it usually takes for full tilt to get back up in situations like this?

OMG i played a second session when i should have just gone to sleep. found a table with a juicy 96/45 and just couldnt win against him. made a four flush with a J, he had the Q obv and minraised my bet on the river. he had like 2BI behind him and he yet he blew so hard. there are 3-4 more hands just like that. near the end i started taking some of it back, but im not sure i got it all back.
i tilted some, lost like 2BI. slammed my head against the desk and forced myself out of tilt, opened 6 tables and went at it, now im mildly ahead of where i started this morning at like 12:20AM. oh well, i guess my hardcore heater couldnt last forever. graph still looks pretty good too. im still winning 29.5BB/100 so i guess i cant complain. [/ QUOTE ] There there ... it's all going to end good ... now go back to pwning [/ QUOTE ] I think I'll just have to revamp my whole game (and more importantly: attitude) to get back to pwning. I'm breaking more or less even over the last 3 months now. Every time I get ahead a bit, I throw in a realllly bad session to give it all up again. Some major problems recently are, I'm not patient enough, I somehow convince myself that that 8/7/1 villain is "just playing back at me" with his flop raise and decide to fire another bullet... Stupid things like that. Those 10-30 wasted BBs add up rather quickly. One stupid move every 100 hands lead to a negative win rate in no time. And if I can't get my WTSD to go below 25% this month, I'm going to go hyachyachyachya. Currently: 30% wtf - me showdown monkey is. |

[/ QUOTE ] Sorry, I didn't mean to apply this specifically to yesterday and it wasn't meant as a moaning post. I'm just trying to find a way to see if I am losing too much in, for example, $5-$10 pots, which would suggest calling too much in 3b pots or cbetting at the wrong time or whatever. So you could say "well, I'm losing 12% of my money in $5-$10 pots and that is standard", or, "I'm losing 5% of my money by being stacked, and that's too much". Dunno, maybe it's nonsense. |
