[ QUOTE ]
You can have an edge in a game and still lose. Its called variance. I don't think Brian brought along the 4million needed to play 1k/2k PLO. He's been on 20BI plo downswings before. [/ QUOTE ] This isn't hard. Do you think he's playing with his entire bankroll on the table? Therefore, ROR = 0. And LOL if you think $4m is enough of a bankroll to play 1k/2k PLO full time. EDIT: SALAAAZAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR |

[ QUOTE ] Has anyone determined how long 1 million live hands would take?? [/ QUOTE ] At 40 hands/hour * 40/hours/week, it would take 625 weeks to play 1 million hands. So yeah, 12 years, being pretty generous on hours. I'm sure the fact those million hands online are played against tougher competition overall doesn't matter either. [/ QUOTE ] On top of that, you have to factor in an online players ability to go through PokerTracker and review important hands or entire sessions. This is a huge advantage that online players have over live players. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Umm, if Sammy's so bad at Omaha why's he got two WSOP bracelets in it? How many bracelets does Brian have? [/ QUOTE ] most retarted thing said yet. judging pros skill levels on how many wsop bracelts they have is [censored] stupid. if i have to explain why you should go and seek help as you are most likely a retard [/ QUOTE ]ifoughtpirahnas - it's more "retarded" to think that winning two WSOP bracelets in Omaha is no indication of skill. Sure, you get the occasional one-off like Chris Moneymaker or Jamie Gold, but it takes a great player to win two Omaha bracelets and be runner up in the Main Event. Has Brian even played heads-up live before? My prediction is he's going to get eaten alive and lose a LOT of money. Brian's next blog entry will just be the usual case of him whining about all the bad beats he took and how badly Sam plays, without him realising he's just part of the food chain like everyone else. [/ QUOTE ] Why would great ring game players play for bracelets? If I can make 1K / Hour or 100 / Hr and get recognition this is not as advantageous unless I am very marketable. DUCY? |

I think it's easier to remember and learn from a hand played live than an online hand. More think time = better memory and better judgement to store memory. |

The only one? actually Playing Farha Hu plo said this: [ QUOTE ]
I think I helped instigate this match yesterday. I'm passing Sammy onto Brian b/c I'm afraid to play him without a spot. I'm not sure who has the edge. Probably Brian but it's close if Sammy is focused. -BA [/ QUOTE ] This thread has quickly become retarded from both sides of the fence... |

[/ QUOTE ] With the hand saved you can look at it from a million different angles and determine its most +EV. Granted thinking at a live game can help your decision. As discussed online players have been in the same scenarios hundreds of thousands of times, the decisions are therefor automatic no? The longer you think is because the situation is new? |

[/ QUOTE ] unless you are logging hands into some kind of book or database to review later this is incorrect. w/ pokertracker i am able to review my past session or past weeks of play to see what i am doing wrong and plug leaks based on this. there is no way you are remembering all your tough hands from your sessions 2 weeks ago if you play full time live poker. |
