With all respect you will learn MUCH more, MUCH quicker by posting some of your hands and commenting & discussing hands played by others, on these forums. You need to get into the "thought processes and mind sets BEHIND the play"- you won't really get that from just watching.
Also: Do you have any poker books yet? Get yourself some of the 2+2 key texts and study them over. |

Thanx for the response Poker Plan. I recently have been trying to make it routine to come on 2+2 and look through posts of hands and articles. There is alot of juicy info and Im very thankful for the time and effort posters shell out. I was just thinking that if i could add watching a session by a better player to my study session it might help to liven it up a touch for me.
I obv could use better observation techniques cause if i really was doing my homework, Id def know the names of some players. Ty, another donk post for me |

If you're going to observe tables, use your time to try and put each opponent on a range of hands- try to figure what they would have limped in with, what they will raise with, what they will call raises with, etc. See what hands they will show down. spot their MISTAKES. Poker is about observation- there's a TON of information available for you at the table- how much can you take in and use???
Good luck. Stick around at 2+2- it's THE place to learn about poker. Also keep in mind that your "poker journey" will be long and (at times) difficult. You will get dissillusioned, you will get f*cked 0ff with it, you will think you've cracked it only to realise you know very little about it- we're ALL there at different stages. Poker is the ULTIMATE activity to weed out the dedicated from the "wannabes". Take it easy. Ian |
