internet banks in Europe

I live in Eastern Europe (EU country). I don't trust the privacy measures of the local banking system and there are some unpleasant restrictions for wire transfers. Do you know good non-US banks that take international accounts and have good fraud protection?

Are you in one of the coutries which has adopted, or is about to adopt the Euro?
