Whats a good hourly for playing 1/2 live? Ive been running like ass online and was thinking about playing a lot more live poker. Would I need to play 2/5+ for it to be worth it?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah I'd only play $5/5 or higher live if I was trying to make money at it.

live games are generally softer and more passive than online games these days, your bb/100 definitely should be higher live than online. however, it takes about 3 hrs to play 100 hands...

fwiw, my hourly rate this year for 2/5 NL is $100/hr in 45 hrs of play. this is a small sample and i probably got a better than avg run of cards...but most live low limit NL games have awful players.

Yea I know live is definitely softer, too bad you cant multi table it lol. I cashed out 4k a few weeks ago that I planned on using for live but might wait to get a little more and start playing 2/5.

My goal is to get my roll big enough to play 5/10 live. Would you guys think the bankroll requirments would be same for live or could I get away with like 15 buyins?

Also has anyone played 5/10 at Cherokee in Tulsa? I usually play at Creek Nation since its 18+ and im only 19(have a fake) but would start playing 5/10 at Cherokee since its much nicer and Creek doesnt have 5/10.

$4k is plenty for a $2/5 game live.

I played some 2/5 at Lucky Chances and while it's +EV it's not easy money cuz the rake is insane and the rate of hands is so so bad, and you have to account for the fact that you're gonna get super bored (either that or drunk) and not play your best game.

The only way I'd play live (for a living) is like 10/20 or higher so that it actually matters enough to pay attention with the iceberg pace.

Looking for a trade. I'll give 1600 on FT, you give me 1600 on Stars. I'll ship first to all reputable posters. Tilt cashed out from Full Tilt and it will take forever to fund Stars with Epassporte. PM please.

If people are going to try and scam me, please hack a mods account and then try again. Any regulars wanna help?

how much could the rake possibly be? i can't see it being more than $4 max/pot. if it is, the casino is basically robbing you.

i never had a problem with boredom in a live game...just pay attention to the action (put people on hands, pay attention to possible physical tells and test their accuracy) and engage in conversation with the other players.
