To address a couple of questions:

-The street is VERY narrow. It's a side street.
-My wife has a big SUV because we have a 2 year-old and I want her to be at the front of the car-size arms race. She doesn't suck that hard at driving, it really is tricky getting in/out when they park there.
-I'm sure the police would only ticket there if they got a complaint. I don't intend to have their car ticketed.

very nitty imo. if someone asked me to not park in front of my own house, i would laugh and walk away.

This is when I would start having your car ticketed. It's not a legal space.

Well, if they are indeed parked illegally, you can always snitch to the cops. Or, you can teach your wife how to back out of a driveway. You're call.

Not nitty, imo, especially with the past history. I would casually/politely ask them to move the car. Neighbor would have to be subhuman scum to take issue.

I was wondering how to do that without it sounding like a threat, but the joking about bad women drivers angle is definitely the way to go here.
