My buddy Brewer putting his mouth on my ball. If this guy tells my ball to "Get up" it's inevitably gonna fly the green.
You can kiss it good by if he ever says "Be the one" |

I don't understand why people get so upset though over mere seconds.
I'd rather see someone take their time and hit a decent shot than some guy take a shot in 3 seconds and end up needing multiple shots to get out of the mess he's in. |

"It opens up over there" or "It might be okay" [/ QUOTE ] Haha, I've heard that this bugs some people but nobody in my golfing circle is among them. I say stuff like that ALL THE TIME when playing, including to my competitors' shots. I just want to create a positive vibe, I honestly don't understand what the problem is. |

[/ QUOTE ] There is a saying that goes roughly like it's much easier for a slow player to play with a fast one than vice versa. The fast player's speed does nothing to impact the slow guy, whereas the slow player's deliberate pace can lead to faster players getting pissed and tilting - the Sabbatini thing with Crane is an extreme example. I remember in the final round of the 2005 Masters Tiger Woods took foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever to hit a shot, and Chris DiMarco would hit his literally within seconds of it being his turn. I don't remember Tiger being a slow player but it was comical. It's nice that you want people to do well, but worry less about other people and more about your own pace. In short, get in position and get used to executing more quickly and over time you will be more comfortable doing so. |

[ QUOTE ] I've seen people shoot 125 in under 3.5 hours. There are no good excuses for playing a round of golf over that amount of time, period. [/ QUOTE ] seriously. walking. carrying his own bag. there's just no excuse for how slow golf at so many courses has gotten. [/ QUOTE ]Exactly, I'm reading 4.5 hours and thinking wtf? |

I'm also not breaking out the ruler and protractor to measure my ball's angle in relation to the ground. I might look at it from the side, front, and back though. [/ QUOTE ]Shoe Lace, you have got to be kidding here right? |

[/ QUOTE ]Okay, you're a duffer, you shoot what - 110 at the moment? LEts say 70 shots thorugh the green? You should take about 5 seconds per shot, but are taking 20, and judging by the fact you are bing harrassed on the course, probably much more, but anyway, 15 x 70, there's the best part of 20 minutes added to a round from you alone. Do you see? I think you'll also find that if you speed up you'll get into a far better rythym and your scores will improve, overthinking everything, especially when just hitting the ball is still your main goal will not help your scores. |
