i think this boils down to whether or not you think he'll fold QQ and KK here. I think he will so I'd shove.

[/ QUOTE ]

i disagree entirely. i believe those hands definitely shove flop.

i would check down and fold to anything further. this guys hand looks very strong or something you beat and willing to check down to me.

i don't really understand the reasoning behind your flop raise. were you planning on calling a push? getting in 150 BBs here seems kinda bad to me, but then again so does raise/folding.

[/ QUOTE ]

you dont play much hu im guessing.

JJ is definitely underrepped preflop in this spot; I like the flop raise, however, I would check behind this turn, and if he checks to you on the end, I'd make like a 2/3 pot vbet jus becuz 1/2 pot I think looks more like a mediocre vbet, and you leave urself to the c/rai on river with a weaker hand. I think that an Ace would at least bet this river after checking the turn, so it'd be a good spot for a river vbet. No way can we put villain on a set here btw drj003...

pretty standard. i dont mind calling flop at all, but folding anywhere in this hand is the last thing on my mind.

I don't know about that. He is pretty sure that we don't aces, kings or probably even queens since we didn't reraise his reraise preflop. So then on the flop he leads out and we raise him a half a buyin, he just flat calls. What do you put him on there? Cleary he has to be strong if he is any kind of a player. It seems to me that kings or queens would definitely push on the flop after our reraise. I would usually with aces as well(but he could make a case for just calling since no overcards can come out-again I would almost always push with aces in his shoes). It is not out of the question for him to have a set. He has shown great strength by calling a huge raise on the flop. If he has 9s, 10s, queens, kings, I think he made a bad play on the flop, by just calling. If he didn't make a terrible play, then what does he have? What could he possibly just flat call a huge raise on the flop? A set or aces maybe? That's my reasoning. That being said, I would have usually pushed the flop in his spot with a set. So what is your reasoning for saying he can't have a set?
