Even if KQs raises, AA re-raises and KQs folds, which would be a reasonable way for two random opponents to play the hand, it's irrelevant. Entering 2 or more accounts into the tournament is where the ethical violation occurs, and any advantage that takes place as a result is pretty incidental.

just to set the record straight i changed his title. I don't think it's wrong in the least, it's meant to be funny, and it is funny. Anyone that disagrees doesn't really have a sense of humor imo.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's wrong. You are a moderator.

[/ QUOTE ]

And as such is his duty to label the cheaters.

[/ QUOTE ]

His duty is not to decide what he thinks is cheating and then label the cheaters. Yes what was done was cheating in the opinion of the majority of the forum, including myself. However there are other types of less obvious cheating, where maybe only 30% of people would agree that its cheating. Do I think a moderator should be able to just label whomever they want as cheaters at any time? No I don't.

Moderators should be held to the highest standards. It's not their job to do something "funny" at the expense of someone else, whether they feel that person deserves it or not.

Curtains:

Cit has done way worse than this

Curtains,

The people focusing on you are [censored] retards. No one who actually knows anything thinks you are in the blame for having one conversation with a guy that he starts because he just got busted for using multiple accounts. Your best bet is to just ignore the chatter of the idiots.

Seriously, you guys are going off on the stupidest of tangents in this thread.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not saying curtains it to blame for ZJ multi-accounting; no one is blaming curtains, to my knowledge. I'm not blaming curtains if ZJ came to him for advice. I don't even want to single out curtains. That's not fair. I'm guessing others have known and said nothing as well. I think they should seriously reconsider if their silence was prudent (again, *IF* this was known for quite a while).

I fully admit ratting out ZJ is not necessarily a good option; but I think silence was worse.

And I fully concede I do not have all the facts here. Hence why I asked for questions and not crucifixions.

Why didn't you just sit out when you were placed on the same table? You opened a bunch of SNG's to negate your advantage? Let me ask you this, UTG you get KQs and on the Button you have AA. How did you play these cards?

[/ QUOTE ]

He was saying that as there were so many screens open, he couldn't tell that the KQs and the AA were in the same $100,000 tournament, on the same table.

Words to the wise:

-Look into the accounts of all ZJ apologists.

-Look into the accounts of al of ZJ's crew/network.

-Look into the accounts of ANYONE who has finished in the top ten of any big Party Toureny or is on their tourney leaderboard.

-I imagine there are a huge line of withdrawals right now. So Hurry Up!

[/ QUOTE ]

This would require

1. PP to invest alot of money = $- profits
2. PP kicking out alot of players who generate alot of rake = $- profits

Is it fair to ask curtains (and others) how long/how much they knew about Zee and others multi-accounting?

[/ QUOTE ]

No.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why not?

You've got two buddies. Buddy A has been taking a few bucks out of your pocket every now and then without you knowing. Buddy B knows, however -- but doesn't tell you about it.

You catch Buddy A with his hand in your pocket -- and you feel (justifiably) wronged. Buddy B admits he knew what Buddy A was doing, and admits what Buddy A was doing was wrong -- shouldn't he have to explain why he didn't tell you?

[/ QUOTE ]

Next, let's dig up McCarthy and round up all them commies!

You're not a pinko, are you? Hmmmmmm

[/ QUOTE ]

I think my example was appropriate.

I don't want a witch-hunt -- but I think it's unethical to remain silent if you know cheating is occuring. It most certainly cost some people money who would have liked to have known that the best players were utilizing this strategy.

I'm sure anyone who knew (IF anyone knew) what ZJ was doing felt they were in a complicated situation. Merely because it was complicated doesn't mean we can't flesh out right from wrong, and learn from our mistakes.

Do you really believe what you just wrote? You think honest people can't have friends? Or we haven't had to make tough ethical decisions. You must be very young? I have been in several very delicate spots before. I made one friend turn himself in and another had to stop doing what he was doing or I was turning him in. It is really quite simple. Sorry your ethics only kick in when it is not important.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh wait, you had a friend who committed some ethics violation, but then you let him off the hook with just "stopping what he was doing", w/o turning him in??? WTF? How is that any better than not turning someone in? A thief is a thief. Whooppee you talked them out if it. Anyone would try to talk them out of it. Curtains is pretty much saying he did the same. But that's not good enough for you? Only if they agree to STOP the behavior, or at least not tell you about it anymore, then all is hunky dory in the world?

I guess you get to decide what level of ethics violations get snitched on and what appropraite actions taken by the person in question warrant non-snitching? But no one else can make those kinds of decisions. Right. I guess we all just call bocablkr from now on when we want to know exactly what is and isn't the proper course of action when faced with a potential snitching situation. Maybe you should write a book.
