Default Party using up all my memory

Seems to get worse as my sessions progress. Anyone else experiencing this?

What amazes me is people still loyal to Party considering all that they have to put up with to play there.

I only have 192M ram and 4 table for 3+ hrs and no problem. The new software is better for me in that reguard than the old. The old gave me problems (seemed an issue with releasing resources from closed tables, popups, etc).

Unless I resize. Then it eats up all the memory and messes up the graphics. So, I don't resize.

Subject: Software Locking Up[#XXXXX]

To whom it may concern,

I have been playing at Party Poker for 2 years now and have never
encountered this problem until last night.

I was 4 tabling in the bad beat area (had AKs in one window to make
things worse) when my XPS (the most powerful laptop available) locked up
when I was re-sizing one of your table windows.

I was forced to reboot and I was unable to play my current hands.

I have read a lot of comments on message boards about this similar
problem, hense I'm sure you are fully aware of it. If this problem is not
fixed soon I will be forced to cash out my account and move to a more
reliable site.

To be completely frank, this new software you have produced is a
flaming pile of garbage from a programming standpoint. I hope you give me an
update before I lose even more money, or
worse yet, lose my connection while holding a potential bad-beat hand again.

Their very informative reply is below. Ironically, they must have missed the part about my computer being powerful enough.

Dear XXXX,

Thank you for contacting us.

We understand that your system froze when resizing the tables, which
could be due to memory shortage.

We request you to provide us the table numbers or names, the hand
number (if available) where you faced the difficulty, the date and time when
you played these games. This information will help us look into the
details and assist you in a better way.

Also, we suggest you delete cookies and temporary files, do a disk
clean up and uninstall and reinstall the PartyPoker software to resolve any
memory issues.

Please delete all Temporary Internet files and Cookies by:

1. Double clicking on your internet explorer icon
(blue e) on your desktop.
2. Click on 'Tools' on the taskbar.
3. Scroll down and click on 'Internet Options'.
4. Click on 'General'.
5. Click on 'Delete Cookies' and 'Delete Temporary
Files' in turn and click 'OK'. In the delete
temporary files dialog box, click to select
the 'Delete all offline content' check box if you
want to delete all Web page content that you have
made available offline.

Note: If the Temporary Internet Files folder contains a significant
amount of Web page content, this process may take several minutes to
complete.

Follow the steps below to do a Disk Cleanup:

1) Close all the programs
2) Click on Start
3) Click on Programs
4) Click on Accessories
5) Select System Tools
6) Click on Disk Cleanup

Once the Disk cleanup starts, check all the check boxes shown and click
on the "Start" button. After the disk cleanup is done, you will be
taken back to the desktop.

IMPORTANT: Before you uninstall the software ensure you save "Player
Notes" onto a separate word file so that they can be retained. If you do
not, all the notes you made through the "Add Player Notes" option will
be lost.

To uninstall the software:

1. Click 'Start', point to 'Settings', click on 'Control Panel', and
then double-click on the 'Add/Remove Programs'

2. Select 'PartyPoker', and click on 'Change/Remove' to remove our
software from your system.

3. From your desktop delete the 'PartyPoker' icon.

To reinstall the software:

1. Go to our website, click on "Click here to download and play now" to
download the software.

2. Save the setup file to the desktop.

3. Double-click on the saved setup file to start the installation
procedure.

Once you have reinstalled the software you will need to add the Player
Notes:

1) Close all Windows.

2) Right click on the 'PartyPoker' icon on the desktop.

3) Click on 'Properties'

4) Click on the 'Find Target' button

5) Right click on the 'Notes' file and click on 'Copy'. Close all the
windows.

6) Right Click on the Desktop and click on 'Paste'

7) Once 'PartyPoker' is reinstalled, restore this file in the
'PartyPoker' folder.

Thank you sharing your thoughts. We greatly appreciate it when our
players take the time out to give us their feedback. Please be assured that
we always try our best to provide the poker experience and will
consider your comments.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site!

I'm scared shitless to perform an uninstall. As you are well aware,
your software has been deleting all the IMG files on players hard drives
when performing the uninstall.

What assurances do I have from you that I will not encounter the same
experience?

Again, their ingenius reply.
