first off do you know why the CPU crashed? Putting a new cpu in with out fixing the problem may just force you to do it again. Are you sure your mobo can support the 3.0 chip? Not that .2 ghz is a lot, but it might be an issue. Assuming you know what your doing (IF YOU DONT THEN STOP READIGN OR HAVE YOUR FRIEND HELP) go into the BIOS and see if there were cpu specific settings, if you have the wrong settings for your new cpu it might be a problem.
As for the anti-virus.... perhaps try uninstall/reinstalling the program and see if that helps, its possible that something got messed up besides the CPU or some files.
