[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Also I really want toronto to beat the nets but my god KIDD is an animal. I have been saying it to my friends all year and everyone makes fun of me but, KIDD could be the best pure point guard of my generation. [/ QUOTE ] I'd agree with you. He averages more points assists rebounds and steals (14.5, 9.2, 6.7, 2.0) than the only other contender (Nash - 14.0, 7.6, 2.9, 0.8) and excels at the defensive end rather than being a liability (4 first teams all-defense, 4 second teams). Either way he's dominating this series, averaging a triple double. He also has the best individual performance playoff-wide so far - 16 points 16 rebounds 19 assists in game 3. [/ QUOTE ] Problem is Kidd can't shoot. [/ QUOTE ] if he could, i think he's the best PG ever |

He's a disease, he's infected that whole [censored] squad [/ QUOTE ] LOL he's somehow managed to infect the Nuggets with whinitis. That game was eerily similar to the 05 series where the Spurs used their physicality to frustrate the hell out of the nugs, especially Melo. As much as I'd like to say that the Spurs were getting calls, I think it was pretty fair. That wasn't a flagrant foul, but I think Melo could have been whistled a few times for O's and got away with it. The Nugs need to put that one behind them and regroup. The Spurs played a very good game, but even with all the hot shooting by them and poor shooting by the Nugs it was still close. The Nuggets really seemed snakebitten that game, with JR rimming two of his threes, Elson's goaltend no-call, and Melo being within .1 second at the end of the third, things just didn't go their way. This in a game where the Nuggets were pushed around all over the court, it's gotta bode well for the Nuggets if they can just put this loss behind them. And that's a big if. If the Spurs win the next one they'll take it in five. If the Nuggets win, it'll be Nuggets in six or Spurs in seven. I still think the Nuggets are the better team right now, and they just need to bring it all together. Their bench has been nonexistent, and I was soooo sure they'd light it up at home. It looks like the Spurs are going to have to play A basketball to win right now, but unfortunately they always do. And with all that's said about Ginobli, I can't help but think of one of my favorite players, John Stockton. IMO they both utilized what some might consider dirty tactics to gain an advantage. If I don't fault Stockton, then I can't really fault Manu. |

barry,
Link. [ QUOTE ] Back in his playing days, Dave Cowens published a letter to the editor in the Boston Globe denouncing the growing scourge of flopping as bad for the game. But he was more than a man of words. In one game, Mike Newlin took a dive on Cowens, who got called for a foul he didn’t commit. Enraged, Cowens ran down and flattened Newlin, then yelled at the ref, “Now that's a foul!” [/ QUOTE ] |

I just wanted to say that the Magic have a bright future. Hopefully Grant Hill will retire and we will be able to go on a spending spree. Dwight Howard was amazing and will only get more consistent. Darko was awesome and is improving. Jameer is great and we're getting a brand new arena. Go Magic!

I like Ariza, Darko, & Dwight, but Jameer is a backup PG. They also need a SG.
