Selecting a valid hand configuration for Monte-Carlo simulation

So far my search of 2+2 seems pretty futile. Without going into the archives the only references to this problem are this from bachfan and this from Andrew Prock. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Also, searching for documents related to "Monte-Carlo" and poker tends to just throw up stuff about the "Monte-Carlo poker tournament" rather than stuff about Monte-Carlo simulation... Bleh.
