Unbelievable - No idea how Strow did it if it's true. If it is and gets signed, I'm definitely donating to his campaign, party affiliations be damned!

What's the bottom line? It's still pretty confusing.

I called Washington State's Legislative Hotline and asked about the status of HB 1243. Unfortunately, I was informed that the bill has not passed.

All of the links are coming from that site. Please be more specific. The "Bills Passed by the Legislature" link on the front page does not show HB 1243.

From the "Bill as Passed Legislature document: "
[ QUOTE ]

Passed by the House April 17, 2007
Yeas 62 Nays 36

[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]

Passed by the Senate April 3, 2007
Yeas 45 Nays 2

[/ QUOTE ]

It seems pretty strange that this document would be just some random mistake. Perhaps the list of passed legislation has not updated? Any other explanations for this document?

I apologize if I am wrong, but I am going by this-

[ QUOTE ]
CERTIFICATE
I, Richard Nafziger, Chief Clerk
of the House of Representatives of
the State of Washington, do hereby
certify that the attached is HOUSE
BILL 1243 as passed by the House
of Representatives and the Senate
on the dates hereon set forth.

[/ QUOTE ]

From the link I originally posted, which appears to be a legitimate WA legislature URL. Very strange.

True, but do a search for bill 1243 and you will find the "Bill as passed legislature" document. Strange, it appears theres some confusion.

Perhaps the corrupt officials responsible for the original bill are trying to bury this one.
