Against a 28/22 I'm calling with 77 here not because I'm floating, but rather because my hand figures to be good here a lot of the time. With that said I do mix in a lot of raises , and sometimes fold.

dont really see why i'd raise the flop. seems like a nuts/nothing kind of move (kq is the only legitimate hand in btwn that i might do this with). pretty decent chance my 77 is good here too, since he's probably cbetting close to 100% of his range. can't imagine just folding a flop this favorable. also i have potential bluff opportunities down the line if the board gets scary that i don't have with a flop raise on a dry board.

"bet the turn. just like you would if you were floating with air. if he calls, check behind any non-7 river."

this doesn't really seem relevant. i don't have air, and my hand has a lot of outs + showdown value. also why wouldn't i bet if i made my straight?

in retrospect i'm not sure i like my river bet. i think his range is pretty weighted towards hands in between queens and my hand, so i thought a bet might fold them out. i was really pretty worried he hit a jack on me w/ AJ/KJ/JT/J9. i don't think he folds these on the river though. i think it's an effective bet against 99-TT and an 8 though. so maybe not terrible but maybe not the best.

also, vs. his hand range i dont think my hand has much showdown value. he could hit this board a ton of ways.

anyhoo he had kq and called.

its really surprising mid stakes players dont visit this forum because the content is unreal. Really deep thinking here.

i am a midstakes player, I post mainly here.

To sum up my thoughts on this hand:
PF - std call in position with a low pair
Flop - std call in position against an aggro player for value and/or floating
Turn - This is a great card to bluff because you can fold second pair, 1010 and two overs. If he still calls you probably have 10 outs.
River - Is bad b/c you are taking a hand that had showdown value and turning it into a bluff

This is a pretty good flop to float no? If not I am really doing alot of things wrong.

Anyway the turn just got better with an straight draw, so really I bet close to pot here almost always.

River is about the easiest check through ever, no idea why you bet this, especially given your line from previous streets, I guess you get a bit of value from AK etc...but thats about it.
