default to a norm bet is call. since he bet so small you may have to raise.

How does having UTG left to act factor into your thinking? I think raising is a much easier line when the pot is HU.

don't want utg to overcall getting incredible odds w/ QJ/J9/random spade hand, and he likely does not have us beat right now. if anything maybe we should be more likely to raise here since we almost always get free showdown and we'll find out immediately if either one of them has us beat

turns it more into a raise. he limp called pf. he didnt bet the flop. he is a non factor, except if you call 10, suddenly that dude can overcall correctly with alot of stuff

Yeah... You cant let UTG in for such a good price, I guess you have to raise.

after reading the other posts...i initially liked the idea of the raise for the reasons mythrilfox said...but

that makes sense if we have a relatively strong hand or we are confident that SB has AK or is bluffing on some level (the only situations in which SB is folding to a raise)...but i think on this board, its dangerous to raise with such a marginal hand...putting UTG out of picture for a minute...we are still likely to be behind SB anyway...we only beating his AJ,A9,A8 etc

I cant see how we can be raising here for value...

Raising is a waste of money...what worse hands are calling??? were gonna get called/raised by better hands only...we are either a long way behind here or only very marginally infront...dont you think???

i would be waiting for a better spot.

tbh, I don't think it's a terrible idea in hero's spot.

Hmmm. Doesn't commit stacks, gets value from a worse A and allows for a fold on a horrific river.......
