Effen works great for certain mixed drinks.

What are peoples thoughts on Chopin?

[/ QUOTE ]

He was a good composer, but I think Mozart and Beethoven were better.

I would listen to whatever Wookie says. my go to is Stoli, b/c it's good enough for martinis and I don't feel bad mixing it, but I have never had Fris or Rain.

step one, if anyone tells you to get grey goose, don't listen to anything they ever say about vodka ever again.

those ma fuckas at grey goose did one hell of a marketing job. that's for damn sure.

can't go wrong with ketel one. i'm not a vodka snob though. i don't like drinking it straight, and when you have a mixed drink you really mask the vodka flavor.

Thank you thank you thank you. Grey goose has a nice pretty bottle filled with pisswater. That Vodka sucks, how it became top shelf is beyond me.

The Vodka I drink is Ultimat. It is a little bit pricey however it is better then all of the "top shelf" Vodka's that are commonly sold in bars today.

I think Kettle one is pretty good for the money as well. Ciroc as others have mentioned is not bad either.

Any Svedka fans? I always thought it had pretty strong price-performance. Perhaps I was just getting it on sale.

YAAAY VODKA THREAD 192.

Svedka was our standard home bar/mixed drink vodka for many years, very solid for the price, I/friends dont drink martinis though. About six months ago I switched to Finlandia ($18 a handle here) and like it a lot more, noticeably smoother, but I doubt it matters much at all as youre decent making mixed drinks. I've been curious about Fris for a while though.
