I meant to mention that in the last post. Pure speculation, but I think this extension has a decent probability of costing Ainge his job, and that's a shame, because he's a good GM (better than most fans realize). It has a higher probability of leading to a midseason firing next year, which is just stupid given we can cut the cord now.
