Obviously you take a short jump to start off. Then I run under the first lightning bolt, but then there's no way to jump early enough to beat the next cloud but late enough to get past the next lightning bolt. Is it possible? Am I missing something else?

God this game is amazing, great, and frustrating. I had 22 guys at 54 this time, then got to 55 with 5 [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img].

Ugh. 54... I don't know how I passed it last night. It's the hardest jump in the game by far. I died 27 times on it this go-round.

Yes it's the hardest jump in the game. You just have to time it perfectly and get lucky as well. What also sucks is that even if you make it there's a semi-difficult jump right after before finishing the level.

That being said it's good to get to that level with like 60 lives so you have some to spare.

Justin -- yeah, I got lucky early on in my latest game and picked up 4 birds in the first 20-25 levels, then cruised along until I had about 50 dudes heading into level 54.

29 deaths on that level. Ugh the third jump is soooo hard.

The key to that level is to just barely make it over the little house with a short jump, and then be holding down the big jump button so that you jump immediately and come down under the clouds.

PJ, for level 54 press the down arrow to stop the little dude just before the tip of the lightening bolt. Then do a double tap of the down arrow to stop him so his head is directly under the tip of the bolt. Next hold down the right arrow and tap the down arrow and he'll jump over the cloud. The key is to get his head directly under the tip of the lightening bolt, I find this is alot easier than trying to do a running jump.
