Can anybody help with some simple EV stuff I dont remember how to do?

We are SB w/ Ad9d. BTN raises to 4BB w/ AA, we call in SB, every1 else folds.

Pot = 9BB

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

We lead 7BB, BTN raises to 30BB, we shove....being a 48/52 dog we lose $4 every time we do this....how do I calc stuff if BTN will fold a certain % of the time?

Can anybody please show me? Thanks

Basically this kind of stuff is extremely complicated and is based around deriving some kind of range for your opponent. Basically, you just assign a range including all the possible hands he could have, and then assign a calling range out of the original. Then it's just a simple EV calc.

BTW, Fold preflop.

Could we just assume we know he has AA? lol, no folding this hand.

my april PT stats are such a freakin joke.....you know youve had your fair share of massive pot coolers when your WTSD and W$SD are 23/62 but you are only up 150 in 4k hands.

If x = % he folds and y = % he calls and z = % u win when he calls.

Then EV = x*(9 + 7 + 30) + y*z*(9 + 96 + 96)

When I select the option to "disable" the IHH window in PAHUD Preferences, it is "disabled." When I select the other option, the one that is supposed to allow it to be opened, it is still "disabled."

I open it, and then it closes within about 3 seconds. PT is simultaneously importing, FWIW.

WTF?

what are you talking about???? I'd try to help but I don't understand the problem
