I forgot about Larry Nance.. There's a good choice. As far as Pippen, he'd probably get my vote if it weren't for the outbursts, off the field trouble, and basically sucking it up once he left the bulls. In the one season as a bull with no Jordan, he averaged <25 IIRC. I always thought he was the second best player in the NBA when the Bulls were winning titles, though. [/ QUOTE ] cmon man pippens not even in the same area code as hakeem |

There are likely better choices than these two, but since they haven't been mentioned yet:
Jeff Malone Terry Cummings |

Laff @ Mo Pete and G Wallace
I totally agree with the Mo Malone argument that only the casual fan has no idea who he is. But I didn't give him enough cred before this thread. Sabonis isn't underrated imho because he was always hyped as the best player outside of America when he came to the States, where supposedly he was already past his prime. I hated him because of the Lakers championship run. Is Horny underrated? I didn't think so because he is the best at what everyone knows him as: shooting. |

To me the fact that Moses Malone (3 MVPs and earned the rebounding title 5 years in a row) would be (and I think you are correct) "unknown" to most shows that he is currently underrated. [/ QUOTE ] Overrated. He got all his offensive rebounds 2 at a time. |

Al- Who is your avatar Where is the love for Hornacek wtf [/ QUOTE ] I guess you are not watching / betting on American Idol... Hornacek wasn't really underrated imo - but I give much love to Adrian Dantley. Easily one of my favorite players to watch growing up. -Al |
