I say if Phil Gordon isn't going to play (And why WOULD he? He'd get eaten alive) then they should dump AJ and get Phil. At least Phil & Gabe could have an intelegent conversation about the relative merits of playing a hand one way of the other.

IMO, They don't need 2 people that know what they're talking about. They need 1 who knows and one who asks dumb questions so the 1 that knows can explaing to the peeeps.

Awesome episode.Great lineup, great players and great plays.
Also, both gods were playing.

I enjoyed it.

And, btw, that KK fold by Ivey is pretty standard.
I think, he folds anything but set in this spot, this is for 500BB and Booth is representing a made hand or a huge combodraw (lol at those who said, he's slowplay a set or a straight, this isn't Nl50).Even if you add a bluff as a 10% possibility (as Harrington suggests), it's a fold, that what makes Booth' play so great.
He also had 20% equity even if called (gutshot + 4% of bd flush).

Aba played good, just didn't get anything.

I also loved Ivey's play in KhJh hand.Low limit players would just call and try to hit the draw.MSNLers are betting/3betting/4betting for sure.Ivey knows that this board could hit an early position limpers very hard (including a set) and he'd be a dog if he starts shoving and gets called, so he has a discipline just to call twice and play this one more slow.Brian could easily limp with Ak or AA here.
Actually, his strong bet on the turn shows that he did put Brian on a set or top 2.Noone is calling with bad A when the 3rd heart hits, thinking Ivey has something worse.

if gabe didn't have benza he'd lose 90% of his comedic material.

"william chen, the expert chinese poker player".

my girlfriend was listening to stern when he was on a month or two ago, and benza said he lied to the producers about his poker knowledge.

Antonio continues to impress me with great play.

Before HSP I thought he was a tourny donk tool, but he seems pretty like-able and a real poker player too.

he was amazing on poker after dark last week. LDP (lock_down_poker).

Phil Gordon joining the announce team would be the worse thing to happen to HSP ever, ever.

OMG, what was with the arguments between AJ and Gabe this week? Is there something going on between them that we don't know about?

Kidding. Just figured I'd make the weekly "someone doesn't realize the shows are taped and scripted" post.

I didn't see much (I'm a huge NCAAB fan) of the show, but did catch the preview for next week and caught this nugget:

Brad Booth claims to have played EVERY DAY for 14 years and DN says he needs a vacation.

EVERY DAY??????????????????? For 14 years? Maybe he's living a vacation.

this was the best episode ever, i kept flipping back and forth, everything booth did seemed to work out amazing, i couldnt believe ivey got ran over but that is just one session. As for Brian Townsend, he does have lots of tells, he made all the right folds but i am confused why he is throwing away 2 pair so quick like he was on a bluff, the players see how easily he is folding and continue to bully him.

Everybody is saying how good the 2 pair fold by Aba was, but nobody has commented on the flop check.
