Yeah, I saw Brolin's name and wondered. Is he hugely fat nowadays?

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL! Yes, he has the shape of a meatball...

[ QUOTE ]
OT - his ghostwritten autobiography "Full Time" is probably the best sports book I've read.

[/ QUOTE ]

Cool... Guess I have to order it then. Thanks for the info.

Do you ever NOT cash in big MTT's? I swear. You win seats in every 650 you play and cash in every event. You should really look into playing more events.

LOL @ the guy who said Patrick will only bet his bad hands and check behind his good hands.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't say that, read more carefully and open your mind. I said that there are quite a few good hands he will not bet, which will move his range downwards. This is why I don't care to discuss strategy on this site, there are hundreds of pros (me included) who do well but think differently from the 2+2-truths. However, most of them are willing to consider the 2+2-position whereas most of the 2+2'ers aren't willing to consider theirs. The poker discussion outside 2+2 has progressed beyond the one at 2+2. I am not saying I am right in this matter, just that my opinion wouldn't be written off in other circles.

CASCARINO , TONY -- 12000

Anyone play this guy on day 1a?

[/ QUOTE ]

Tony Cascarino is a former Irish International Soccer player who is a regular on the EPT tour and travels to the WSOP every year.

EDIT: Registrar in there before me

Regarding the Junglen // PA hand, I would love to hear his own logic behind the decision to cold - call the 3bet pre - flop. I believe this is an error, and his own thinking on this aspect of the hand would be really interesting.

im not sure if this is referring to me because this isn't what i said, but i did say he might check a set here, so i should clarify.

first of all pa can't check behind because he's out of position. so there's that. secondly, even if he doesn't CHECK a set here, it's also far more likely that he doesn't cram a set here, instead betting like 11k or whatever giving adam the illusion of fold equity. remember that the pot is like 18k on the pot and pa still has 35k left -- it's not like his only decision is whether to push or check/fold.

i really do think his hand range is heavily weighted towards draws. i know "it's patrik antonius, and he can have anything," but adam is cramming over a flop bet so often here that he has no reason not to just make a normal bet on the flop. pa said himself to adam after the hand that he didn't anticipate a call with ace-high, so it isn't as though pa is going to be valueshoving TT here.

i also agree with all the others that a hand like this is waayyyyy too involved in metagame/table dynamics/past history to be analyzed afterwards by anyone that wasn't at the table at that time. adam put all the peices together and he was right. but antonius got there because hes antonius, and someone that devestatingly good looking doesn't whiff 13 outers.

Exactly, he has to check it, he get's in a tough spot by checking it but it is still the most EV-play, whereas even T9s he can shove given he thinks he has enough FE. So if he thinks he has a lot of FE in this spot you have to rule out many of his good hands and keep the bad ones in his range. Misunderstanding this I see in every 2nd thread here, so it is maybe not so easy to grasp.
