It is standard practice these days that if not enough seats are sold on a flight for it to be profitable, the airline will claim mechanical problems, make you wait a few hours, and then say the flight is cancelled. Kind of sucks if you have to be somewhere on time. Probably better in the future to plan on arriving 24 hours before the tournament starts.

Just FYI...US Air is a complete nightmare in Philly right now, and has been since the merger with America West a few weeks ago. Hopefully the US Air international isn't an issue. But you might want to get there a bit early to make sure you aren't stuck in the checkin lines for like, 3 hours. Like I was. A few weeks ago.

Air France's service in this situation is a complete joke. I wouldn't have settled with just moving on and trying to find a different flight. Raise some hell with Air France!

I wondered why I didn't see you at the cocktail party, it's not like a 2+2'er to pass up free drinks.
I hope you have more luck than we did with the 8:40 out of Frankfurt. I assume it is a Lufthansa flight. Our Air Canada flight was late, and we had to race to a different terminal, wait in a long security line, then got to our gate at 10 minutes to flight time only to find out we missed the last bus to our plane (yep you have to take a bus out on to the tarmac) then had to wait 3 1/2 hours for the next flight. I pray your first flight is on time. Go Adam Go.
