Best Book / Video Game / Other media item that should become a movie

I'll start.

A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.

This book was flat out the funniest thing I have ever read. If they got someone great to play the main character, Ignatius, then this movie could really be special.

It wouldn't even have to be any good. Directing from beyond the grave alone would guarantee it's place among the legends of Hollywood. Heck, digging ol' Stanley up and propping him up in the director's chair would guarantee something better than Deuce Bigilow: European Gigolo.

Chuck Palahniuk's Survivor was supposed to be made into a movie, but then scrapped in pre-production. I feel it was a better book than Fight Club, and is worthy of the silver screen treatment.

Metal gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. You wouldn't really even need a new script. That game is a masterpiece.

I'd love to see Snowcrash made into a movie but I'm afraid they couldn't possibly do justice to it.
