Stars, AP, and FTP work fine on vista.

Parts of them also work with speech recognition but they aren't quite there yet.

What about PT, PA, Sixth Sense, etc?

I'm getting my new computer in a few hours (its at the fedex distribution center by my house right now! woo) and I'm starting to get worried that I'll have to go out and buy Windows XP because nothing poker related will work.

I am having trouble getting PA working on my Vista 64bit laptop. Will not run... program shuts down. I have another 64bit PC i am going to try it on to see if I get the same result.

Stuck with GT+ unfortunately for now.

I just got a new laptop a month ago too and wish I knew about the troubles with Vista.

I got PT, HUD and all the other programs working now but heres what you need to know.

1) Turn off that annoying user account control thing. (control panel)
Thats the stupid feature that basically asks you to allow or deny for every single .exe program you run or anything that remotely represents a risk to your computer

2) For programs like PT, you have to set it to run as admin (right click properties). Otherwise, PT will reset the userid and hence need a new serial number to register it everytime you open it.

3) There are lots of other driver issues with Vista (i.e. ATI graphics card, Nero etc - you'll need to spend some time downloading vista compatible software). I think for things like Camtasia, you'll have to wait for a new release.

Hope this help - PM me if you have any questions. Godamn Vista is annoying though.

I initially had trouble with PT and PA and stuff but found out the run as admin thing Roadstar mentioned and since then it's been working fine.

Main poker-realted Vista problem is I can't view like 90% of Cardrunners vids when I download them, but I can watch the downloaded Aba ones which is slightly redeeming. It does work when I stream in IE but not in Firefox. Anyway when i emailed them they said they're working on it so it should be ok soon.
