After blowing your nose, you have to look, mainly to make sure that its on the tissue and hasn't flown off in some crazy direction and attached itself to something it shouldn't have. This is to avoid an embarassing scene ala "theres something about mary"... One time I blew my nose and found this weird looking purple lump in it, and it scared the hell out of me. Then I tasted it and realized that it was just some jelly from a pb&j i'd been eating and somehow, I managed to snort it into my sinus passages and then sneeze it back out. It hurt a lot too.
