Default Why not more mac software?

Why havent more internet poker sites come up with mac software? Are FTP and party the only two that have mac programs or are others working to develop them?

i have an ibook, which doesnt have pc emulator, but the new generation(those w/intel processors) labtops all come with a pc emulator standard, so you should be able to play on the other sites now anyway

mengzi, you are confused. New Intel Macs do NOT "come with a pc emulator standard".

no they dont come with any emulators, but you CAN install windows fairly easily on the intel macs, and i play all my poker on windows on my MacbookPro. really cool feature, as i get best of both worlds this way, all i have to do to switch is reboot.

This is true. They come with actual Windows-capable hardware.

There seems to be a fair number of Mac compatible poker rooms.

http://www.mac-poker.net lists FullTilt, Absolute, PokerRoom, Pacific, EuroPoker, HoldemPoker, & Party... on top of those I know Bugsys Club and a few other tiny rooms are Mac compatible!

Oh, and I should also mention that a large percentage of Mac users simply use emulator software so that they can run Windows software, which means that a large chunk of this small demographic don't even require custom software (which is why alot of poker rooms are not targetting Mac users)

There is no 'emulator' for Windows on the Intel Macs. You can install XP on a volume if you use Boot Camp.

However, a better option is Parallels. No reboot necessary.

As to the original question, it's probably market share. I understand that PS is working on a Mac version of their software. Check out http://pokeronamac.com.
