Venetian is one of my favorites, I played a lot there last time I was out because they were comping $2 an hour to their poker players, not sure if that is still going on, I doubt it though

I would tend to agree. To me, basement = dumpish. I did forget about the $500 buyin (I knew there was a reason I went there)

lol 42 - you went to Vegas and played at Paris? I know the games are way squishy in those 4 table outfits, but still, wtf? I assume you went to all the good rooms first?

Long story short. I was staying at Bally's and saw that Paris had a $50 tourney starting 15 minuets after I checked in. I played the tourney and then started playing the cash game. I was planning to hit another room, but the Paris was hosting a Council of Mayor's Convention and all these guys were playing poker (very badly). No reason to leave. I think I pulled over $800 off the $1/2 table IIRC.

I did play at MGM the next night

This wasn't back in June perchance was it? Last time I was there some Mayor's convention was going on that weekend, etc.

Crazy - wish I had known you were there, I would have looked you up. I met a couple randoms (GambleGamble is a trip!), but I don't know any SSNL'ers

I would just like to add that the cocktail waitresses at the Wynn are astounding. This combined with the topless pool and the discount for poker players makes the Wynn a very fine place to hang out. Trip #2 is coming up for me and I'll probably stay there.

The softest game I ran across was at the Imperial Palace, but it's pretty dumpy in there.
