Default Auto-reraising this top boat all the way? (Stars 15/30)

Would you stop this raising war at any point fearing the quads?

Not much info about BB, at least no maniac pre-flop.

Why did he slow down on the turn if he had quads with the low draw out there?

Played perfectly imo.

Yes i thought so too, what was a little scary is i'm kinda tight, seldom raises, so he must have realized i had AAxx with all the raising and reraising I did, so why did he fight back, I asked myself.

he's short stacked and in the blinds. btw, when somebody calls turn and then raises river, you're usually toasted. there's a sick NL hand at the commerce where dude had second set and picked up a tell from this asian kid who showed massive strength. ended up, asian kid had aces up and would've paid off another bet on the river but the guy who picked up the tell got scared.

if you're really that tight, then maybe you just call the raise on the river. but that's something 60+ y.o. retirees do in their sunday afternoon 10/20 game. pay him off.

[/ QUOTE ]Barbarian - I don't like the word "fearing" - but if I gave BB credit for having any card sense, I would not re-raise after getting raised on the turn.

A sensible BB should put you on aces for your betting. When he raises your aces full, prudence dictates that you show some card sense yourself.

I'm not "afraid" of anything when I play poker. But I'm not stubborn either.

buzz, i disagree on flop hand reading.

by betting flop you're playing either top two/any set/low wrap + back door flush. OP having "just aces" is one hand he can have to bet the flop.

the turn is uneventful when the five comes, i think fives full or even trip fives is a legitimate hand.

the river is the bad street. OP showed massive strength and then got raised. altho it sux, maybe OP could've saved 2 bets on the river. having 2nd nuts and putting in 4 bets on the river isn't a losing play IMO.

btw, what 4 cards could BB have for that crazy preflop action full ring? a255? AKK2? in the blinds nonetheless.

Thanks everybody, guess it's time to show the result, when he capped the river I was pretty certain he had 55xx. But sometimes you get surprised.

BB has Jh Qc Js Td (High: full house, jacks full of fives).

Who would have guessed?
