I guess BK knew that he was -EV and thus went after the Asian guy instead.

He is in denial.

His ego is too big and he has the I lose if i dont play kind of mentality that compulsive gamblers have.

If he sees a big game with a weak player he will think he has to play because he should win.

Compulsive gamblers also do the double up thing, my luck is going to turn and when it does I want to be able to double up or at least win back what I lost.

He wont quit poker because of having a $50k+ bankroll he will always think that he will at least be able to get back to that.

Going pro is the worst thing he can do, he simply has to get a job to keep his mind off gambling. If he cut back to 10 hours or so a week he might do ok.

If he doesn't go to gamblers anonymous he should at least do a lot of research on the subject to hopefully educate himself.

I suspect Kurosh will end up bust probably get a few backers and really hit rock bottom in a year or so.

Sorry, again no time for trip report. I have been playing marathon sessions. I have 9k right now. I should have 10k, but I have spent a lot and tipped a bunch extra. I played 40/80 for a bit then moved up to 60/120. Going to sleep now, then either back to 60/120 or a strip club. If it is a strip club, I will probably have to grind back at 40/80 tomorrow. I think when I hit 10k it is time for a shot at 100/200!

[/ QUOTE ]Hah, no. Black jeans, black shirt, blue jacket with white stripes. I am leaving now. I dunno if I will be playing in the 60, 100 or if we are going to a strip club.

Day 2, Thursday. Boring morning. I didn't sleep. Took a 2-3 hour nap before we went to Mastro's Steakhouse, which is apparently the best steakhouse in LA. I got the filet on bone, medium-rare (everyone else was a pussy and got medium done or some other non-bloody [censored].) It was excellent. I have never had meat melt in my mouth. I regret not asking Diablo for suggestions before we went. The bastards carded so I couldn't get some good wine.

Afterwards, Silky and Ryan head out to a bar with budweiser girl. Her job is to throw parties for budweiser and drink a lot. Since Tongni and I aren't 21, so we go play poker instead, possibly also getting drunk and going to the spearmint rhino later.

I had about 1.5k-2k so I go to the 20/40 game. A cute girl sits to my left. She notices I am solid and I suppose that gave her the go-ahead to start making little comments to me when someone else plays bad, but she is cute so I smile and say it happens. She doesn't talk much to me though, only the comments... until Tongni calls me. The volume on my phone is high enough that surrounding people can sometimes hear a bit. He mentions he is in the 1/2 or 3/6 game and keeps telling me how I shouldn't be playing in a game that small and I should move up because he will give me money for transfers online etc. Tongni is always looking out for my best interests.

After I got off the phone, the girl's eyes light up and she starts asking me about what limits I normally play and such. I tell her the truth and we have a good conversation for a while. I thought all the gold diggers hung out in the high-limit room, but meh. I think I would have a very good chance of banging her, if she wasn't 28.

About two hours later, Silkyslim comes by, sporting a new lip ring. They were supposed to be out all night drinking. Ryan asked a cop for drugs and, naturally, he kicked them out of the bar. They decided it would be a good idea to drunkenly get lip rings. Good job guys.

Silkyslim mentions he saw the grinder. The chick is apparently good friends with the grinder and knows a lot of the pros and promises Silkyslim she'll get pictures of him with them later. I don't remember why, or if there even was a reason why, but she offers us adderall. I've always had a nagging suspicision that I have ADD. This will be a good way to test it. Silkyslim gets four pills from her, takes one and leaves to play. I get one too. She recommends I take only half of it to see the effects. So, I swallow half, then the other half.

The game breaks soon afterwards, yet I still only have around 2500. Full of confidence and amphetamines and lacking sleep, I head over to the 40/80 game.

As soon as I walk over to the table, this happens.
Player: "Card him please."
Floor: "No, no, it's fine. He's 21."
Player: "He's not 21. Card him."
Floor: "It's ok. He was here yesterday."
Player: "I want you to card him."
Floor: "Are you an undercover cop?"
Player: "Yes, card him."
Floor: "Can I see your ID?"
Me: "...I don't have it with me."
Player: "Haha, I'm just kidding."

[censored]. The floor actually tells me to get a fake ID. He tried to save my ass and for that, I tip him $20 and a bit later too.

I absolutely DESTROY the game. I have never played better in my life. Nearly every hand I play, I win. People started taking shots at me and checkraising the turn with [censored] because I had been winning a lot, but ace high is so very good. The adderall has a strange effect on me. I thought it was supposed to help your concentration, but I was lost in my own mind. After I folded, I would miss entire hands. I would look up to play my cards and realize I had no idea what had happened the previous hand. People would say things to me and I would hear the words but it wouldn't register, if that makes sense? A guy wanted to buy $200 worth of chips off me, one stack, and I push two stacks over to him, that sort of thing. But when I am playing a hand, jesus, I never say much about my level of skill, but I knew people's hands. I have ace high and a very tight player checkraises me on the turn when the board is scary. I look over at the guy and these are immediately the thoughts that went through my head.

"FLUSH DRAW. 3-BET HIM FOR PULLING THAT [censored]. wait... I remember, it's better to call down so he bluffs the river."

Ace high good.

One of my first hands at the table, UTG raises, UTG+1 3-bets and I cold cap AK next to act. Only they call. The flop is all rags. UTG checks, UTG+1 bets, I call, UTG raises, UTG+1 calls and I fold getting about 18:1. AA holds up for UTG.

I would NEVER make this fold any other time. I don't know if it was just because I was running hot or the adderall, but it was good. I make about 4-6k. I'm not sure because people kept buying chips off me. After playing for maybe 8-10 hours, I notice I am fumbling with my chips and am going off pure instinct for how to play.

I cash out and go watch bicyclekick playing some guy who looks retarded headsup at 400/800. I'm pretty messed up at this point, having slept very little in the past two days, taking adderall and just finishing a long session. I see John D'agistino and HAH, I have an opportunity to find out for sure if Jedangsky on UB is him. I'm pretty sure I interrupted some HORSE game, but, clearly, I didn't give a [censored] at that point. Disappointingly, it's not him.

Schneids comes over, hands me his phone and says someone wants to talk to me. Wtf? It's Peachy!! Apparently, she is a girl and she is real. Maybe. I will not be completely convinced until I physically meet her and drill her with questions to make sure it is the same person that posts here. I think I talked to her for a while. I'm not exactly sure what I said. I just remember talking for a long time.

After that, I get lost in the casino, but find my way to the hotel eventually. I crashed a few hours later and slept maybe four hours before getting up and going back to commerce.
