After this you will either be taken to jail if they are going to charge you or let go.

[/ QUOTE ]

Even when they let you go bad things can happen. Once on a Fri night after watching a friend of mine's band I left a bar adn got pulled over no more than 30 secs later. At the time I was alking with a really bad limp. I was arrested and taken to jail. I blew 0.00 and told the cop what an ass he was. I was free to go, they gave me the number I could call to get my car back. I was an hour and a half from home at about 3am by this time and when I called about my car I was told I could pick it up on Mon morning.

[/ QUOTE ]

Man, you know nothing about cops, do you?

no sympathy here sorry.

to be honest, since you went to your office, you may very well be fired if they catch wind.

not only did you break a very important law, but you put your company on the line for massive liability.

[/ QUOTE ]

This has to be the biggest Douchebag response in this whole thread. What an idiot.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, the truth hurts huh?

Let's imagine for a second that dood was involved in an accident.

Who's the douchebag then?

[/ QUOTE ]

Then he'd be a tremendous douchebag. But he WASN'T involved in an accident. He DIDN'T hurt anyone.

If you are going to use the logic, "Drunk drivers are douchebags because they MIGHT HAVE killed someone," then aren't ALL drivers douchebags, by definition?

[/ QUOTE ]

The idea behind drunk driver laws is prevention by avoidance (sp?).

If you do not drive drunk, it is impossible to get in an accident while driving drunk. I think that is fairly easy to agree with.

The law is not based on luck.

ie..."If you are lucky enough to have not gotten in an accident, you are not a douchebag."

[/ QUOTE ]

And if you do not drive, it is impossible to get in an accident while driving. Why not just not have cars?

by-tor, you dont talk on your cell phone when driving at all? You never eat in the car, and always have your hands at 10 and 2 huh? If so, congrats! If not, shut the [censored] up you hypocrite.

[/ QUOTE ]

none of those are against the law.

[/ QUOTE ]

your basic common sense of what is right and wrong is determined by the US government? how sad.

[/ QUOTE ]

you are back peddling.

Are we talking about a law, or common sense? Please don't change the conditions to suite your arguement. It makes you look...well...not so smart.

[/ QUOTE ]

Speaking of common sense, do you really think that having 4 drinks over 4 hours makes you more likely to have an accident?

You are the one that brought the law into this one. not me. cellphones, eating etc in your car has NOTHING to do with the law in my argument, it has to do with common sense. You take your stupid pills this morning?

So drunk driving should be against the law because it is against the law. Will the circle be unbroken?
