Good play. This happens and I actually think you played it perfect. Your original raise was a good one. You played your cowboys aggressive from the start, which GSstreet failed to do with his bullets. Either way, I think most people end up broke in this scenario when holding KK down.

I also fold when the second limper goes all-in, because you can see on the hand history he has aces. You don't want to call an all-in with kings when they have aces.

Love it.

You can also see the other guy had 1 of your kings. you were obviously drawing to 1 out against Aces. How could you possibly think you played this right.

I'd either raise 1200-1500, or go all-in when the action first gets to you.

ummmmmmm, im quite confused with this post... at best... how do u ever fold kings in this position, with this amount of chips... EVER?? yup, i wudda just pushed with it straight away, picked up blinds at worst, but either way, you were fightin a losing battle. so, nothing would've helped in this situation - happens, infrequently, but happens. i'm just really really puzzled, how anyone can even consider folding this

Sorry salanm, I didn't mean to mislead anyone. I was trying, not entirely successfully it seems, to suggest that this post was a tad results oriented. Of course you want all of your chips in with this hand, the more the merrier.

I'll try to post more responsibly in the future, but it's soooo darn hard.

Hope this clarifies things...

Edit:
My suggestion of raising 1200-1500 was legit. A raise of 1900 tells any thinking opponent that you will not fold to a push. This is NOT the message we want to send. We WANT them to think they can steal from us, hence a bet that doesn't look as committing as the 1900 does.

Yeah I dont know why you didnt just fold PF. One outer facing aces, thats an easy fold PF.

Not true - when colluding with another at the table, KK ALWAYS attracts an A. Power up the magnets, boys!

C'mon, he was in the BB. Obviously taking a flop to try and hit a set is the right play.

Thanks to all for the feedback.

I have tried to rethink the play from thye various perspectives presented.

Considering the call-raise came from a guy in MP, perhaps I should have considered the "gap concept," in that he needed a better hand to reraise with than what he would have called with.

That said, because there were several limpers, and because I was in the bb, I think I would have had my money all-in preflop anyway. The fact that I had the guy (with Aces) who pushed covered also made the decision easier...even if the result was still painful.

Oh well. I'll get 'em next time

Gap concept is irrelevant. KK is the 2nd best hand you can start with. It's plenty good enough to call any raise that comes along, and raise yourself as well. If you had JJ or something, then we could talk gap concept in this hand.

When KK runs into AA, you usually only win when you get lucky.
