So I've been playing a few hands on cake poker lately and...almost bustod my account (less than $3,000, so no biggie) Well I decided to redeposit, I've yet to deposit since the neteller ban, so I clicked on their deposit options. I don't have epassport or any other "neteller equivalent" so I just used my credit card. Which was denied. So I tried my debit card, and it was accepted.
About half a hour later I get a call from Wells Fargo fraud prevetion. The lady says that my credit card was denied because credit cards are "loans" and the bank doesn't want you to "gamble with borrowed money." Then she went on to say that the debit card transaction was ok'd, and that I was free to use it in the future to deposit to other gambling sites. Just thought I'd share my trip report. Cliff notes: wells fargo knows I'm depositing to a gambling site and still gives me the ok. |

Good news, may have to go get an account there. Any restrictions on how much you can deposit?

Any restrictions on how much you can deposit? [/ QUOTE ] How much you got in your account? That would be the limit. (Besides daily max, of course.) |

I used my WF debit card to load Epass. At first it was declined. I called the # on the back of the card and within 10 mins tried again and it was cleared. It was only blocked due to the charge coming from outside of the US.

[/ QUOTE ] It is kind of ironic they say this when you see how many people are waiting for a credit card cash advance in AC every weekend. I'm sure they just need the $1000 for dinner. Jeff |

Wells Fargo debit card has always worked for me. A long time ago, before I discovered Neteller, I used a normal Visa card to deposit on sites. Eventually, that stopped working. I switched to the Wells Fargo Visa Debit card and had no problems. Now, with Neteller gone, and not having done a card transaction to a poker site, in a long, long time, guess what- it still works.

That's logical. However how come the same rules don't apply to getting cash advances in vegas

I am assuming the "debit card" is the same thing as the standard atm card with the little visa logo? |
