OK, I updated the press release with like 5 people's comments:

I'm not saying ""High level of luck in tournaments compared to cash games" because then we have to explain what cash games are and that just gets messy and unnecessary. We are basically talking to the poker version of five-year olds.

ONLINE POKER COMMUNITY RAISES $20,000 FOR CHARITY
[YOUR CITY], [YOUR STATE/PROVINCE], February 28, 2007 — From around the world, members of the online poker community united this week in a massive charity drive for impoverished children, thanks to the encouragement of poker celebrity Barry Greenstein.

According to Greenstein, it all started on September 23, 2006, with a friendly wager he made with the members of the online poker forum Twoplustwo.com. The deal stated that if Greenstein said a specific phrase on national television, members of Twoplustwo.com would donate $10,000 US to Children, Incorporated. Greenstein, known as the “Robin Hood” of poker for his tradition of donating tournament winnings to charity, suggested Children, Incorporated as the charity of his choice.

Greenstein agreed to say the phrase “lol donkaments”, an expression coined by members of Twoplustwo.com which pokes fun at the often poor skill level of tournament players by combining the words “donkey” and “tournament”.

In this week’s episode of the television show ‘High Stakes Poker’ on the Game Show Network, Greenstein kept his side of the bargain, saying ”lol donkaments” after winning a big hand.

As for whether or not members of Twoplustwo.com would keep their promise, Mr. Greenstein remained optimistic.

“One of the producers of ‘High Stakes Poker’ suggested that I post in the forums to get people to donate ahead of time or they might not include ‘lol donkaments’ in the show. I told them, ‘the word of a gambler is good.’” Greenstein then added, “of course, if I were dealing with politicians or some other groups, I would want a contract, witnesses and video.”

As Barry Greenstein predicted, the word of a gambler is good. When news broke that Barry had kept his promise on national television, hundreds of individual contributions poured in to Children, Incorporated from around the world. The charity has received donations ranging from $20 to as high as $2000.

The online poker community reached their goal of $10,000 within the first 24 hours, yet donations kept coming in for Children, Incorporated. Currently, more than $20,000 has been raised for the charity, and donations show no sign of slowing down.

Children Incorporated CEO Marian Cummins was “utterly delighted” by the response, and personally expressed her “heartfelt gratitude” in an email to Barry Greenstein and the members of Twoplustwo.com.

Nice work

One nitty thing, I know that you have to explain the lol donkaments to some extent, but in general aren't we trying to downplay the element of luck in any form of poker?

if I don't explain lol donkaments or at least give some context as to why we call them donkaments it's not going to make any sense.

Consider revising this part:

"The online poker community reached their goal of $10,000 within the first 24 hours, yet donations kept coming in for Children, Incorporated. Currently, more than $20,000 has been raised in the first day"

The first bit suggests we reached just over $10k in the first day, and then says more than $20k came in.
