Another Animal Axiom Question

What if you have a heart problem, and that same hand you're blowing belongs to the only surgeon in the world who knows how to fix your hand problem? Would you
a) blow the hand off and not have your heart fixed
b) Wait until after he fixes your heart and then blow his hand off?
c) blow his hand off and go to another surgeon that is not as good to have a try at your heart?

Would your decision be different if the guy was a street bum? Or someone that has been abused all his life and has a wicked pleasure in torturing animals. In other words, would you blow ANY person's hand off or would it depend on the person and how would you decide?
