Fitz was (and is) known for his great hands, size, and leaping ability, with his only negative being a 40 time of 4.49.

Johnson is taller (by 1.5 inches), faster, and leaps higher. No idea about his hands, though.

Robert Meachem's official time of 4.39 pretty much means he's the 2nd or 3rd WR picked.

Olsen's official 40 was 4.51, not 4.45.

[/ QUOTE ]

Still like .14 faster than the 2nd fastest tight end though, right?

[/ QUOTE ]

I believe the next fastest official time listed at nfl.com is 4.71, so .20 faster, which is a ton.

]The rumor is that Deion Sanders ran the fastest ever.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wikipedia says Deion ran a 4.29 40. I've seen other articles that claim as fast as 4.17. Timing variance is pretty large back than as they were all hand timed.

Ya, that catch is obviously retarded. There's another highlight reel here.

Check out the one at about 1.14. I'm most impressed by any WR who can catch balls thrown behind them. Many of these are good grabs, but that catch is the best to me. From what I've read, he's a faster Fitzgerald. And while I don't know if he has as good of hands as Fitz, if he's close I think his edge in athleticism makes him a better prospect. But we might be splitting hairs here.

40 reps at 225 is freakin' strong.

[/ QUOTE ]

Last year I saw that that DT from Ohio State put it up 45 times (which I think tied the record). It was amazing to see someone moving that much weight that many times.

I don't think he even got drafted though.

[/ QUOTE ]

It was Mike Kudla. I know he got picked up by Pittsburgh after the draft to be a LB/DE in that 3-4 but I am not sure if he ever made the regular season roster or played.

Although it's interesting to see what kind of numbers players put up, the 225 lb. bench test seems like the most useless measurement of football ability of all the combine events.

Some serious movers and shakers in this draft. Some people's stock went flying upward (Patrik Willis, Greg Olsen) while others who were already high cemented their spots (Thomas, Peterson, Branch).

Defensive backs today then Pro Days.

Arron Sears is going to be a good value for anyone who grabs him. Moved to OG for the NFL due to height and stature, but has the arms of a tackle. Smart player.
