I think trying to read into soah's posts from yesterday will be hard; you'll have to guess what level he was working on at any given time.
It's easy for me to see, because I know the answers - soah is trying to come to the same conclusions as the villagers to sound more villagery while still leaving room for doubt in case someone decides to vote for me.

I think you'd be better off just doing what you did yesterday - reread, again, knowning that zurvan is a villager and soah is a wolf, and see what you think. You came to the right conclusion yesterday so you've got to trust your read.

I'm looking through the thread to see if I can find any smoking guns. I hate just about every one of lastchance's posts in the first 2 days so far, though. It's hard rereading myself for "something villagery" though because i don't play villager with the goal of "being villagery" in and of itself.

I cant recall him ever saying anything like this. Not only is it pretty bad reason but its certainly a way to save TFG. And Traz can get away with saying things like this without question because people are so quick to believe him without doubt. Even if he truly believes this, he blatantly contradicts himself my complaining about the lack of a solid bandwagon and trying to drum one up on yourself and I ALL VERY CLOSE TO NIGHT.

Also note the capslock and the "keyboard mashing" when it looks like TFG was going to be lynched. Why would traz possibly be so against TFG getting lynched? And even if he were as a villager, then why not switch to Clowntable, someone who Traz said he had suspected and already had 4 votes on him, rather than trying to start a wagon on you and I from scratch. Why not make the last minute push for an extra Clown vote or two instead of a wagon from scratch on me? Yes, I think Clowntable is evil in this equation as well.

Just in case my first post breezed by, let me reiterate why Traz would play a wolf this way. There are two seers, one with a mason. Traz knows he's likely to get peeked and thus might have a short lifespan. TFG was an important evil. If things don't work out, Traz can come in and say he would never do that as a wolf or some other crap and attempt to weasel out of it to survive a bit longer.

BTW, I think the way lastchance kept pestering traz after the drive to save TFG was pretty ugly. He took it way too far and I don't think he does that as villager.

One concern with the Sam coming out strategy - if the wolves kill Frodo and Sam, they don't have to kill Gandalf anymore - all village powers are lost. I ran some sims on the avg number of turns we'd have before we lost the ring(4-6 turns, I think? I'll rerun and verify), but they didn't account for the fact that the village would hand the wolves Sam on a silver platter.

The reasoning for voting me is somewhat lame and awful, but whatever. Can we lynch econophile first and see if I was right? I had only been skimming the day and saw that post that I thought was TERRIBLE, so I voted for it.

I really, really don't like this series of sequences by StephenH. His logic for voting econo over TFG is terrible, and as a villager, he should see why. He skated by way too much on this point. Suspecting an evil of being a wolf and then not voting him is STANDARD evil play.

You know, day 1 makes a LOT more sense if Traz is godfather. He *knows* he peeks as good, so he can take more chances with driving wagons off of wolves. If Voj is a wolf, then I'm going to be pretty darn suspicious of Traz, too.
Right now, I think Voj/Traz/Books is a good start for some wolves. Let's verify that Voj is a wolf before getting too suspicious on Traz, though.
I'll keep reading to see if this stays consistent after day 1.
