I think you should definitely re-raise preflop there. I'm not playing that tight under the gun with that many chips, even though I did have AK this time.
Playing it the way you did I think you should probably call there vs my isolate range.

This is definitely a reraise pre after nord opens and gets a caller. After the push and repush, it becomes very close and comes down to reads I think. Nordberg is very good so by knowing that we know that he can be isolating with a fairly wide range as he says here. Because of that it is probably a push. I don't really see any point in just calling the bet pre, either push or fold.

The only things that could make me fold are if nord had been especially tight or if there were some kind of timing issues that made you think he was super strong, but those are more by feeling than anything definitive you can put a finger on.

The only thing that I missed while playing the hand but thought of after was that if Nordberg had AA-KK, wouldn't he flat call the short stack's push, hoping that I (or other the caller) would also come along?

I generally call/reraise 50/50 after the first guy called preflop. I think reraising there in a way makes QQ look bigger than it really is, and almost turns it into a bluff, unless I shove, which seems to make my hand look like AK. (does this make sense? Am i wrong to think this way?)

And, I ended up folding just since something about the situation/timing combined with his peculiar isolate reraise (not a push) size made me think Nordberg had a big hand. And, in a way he did, just that mine was better :/

Thanks,
Mike

I doubt it, since you both would be getting ~4:1 odds to call. Especially KK doesn't really want a 4-way pot.

Close situation, I don't think you should berate yourself for folding here.

By calling you are really underrepping your hand so you need to call a shove. If I'm Nord I'm shoving fairly wide here.
