The problem with the play is the depth of the stacks i.e. nobody can make a raise without getting a large slice of their stack into the pot and therefore you will get called with hands which are quite moderate, but in any event better than yours.
The button needs to double up as much as you and therefore he will call with any hand he thinks has some chance of being a 50:50 shot. Given the reluctant call I have him on a low to mid pair up to TT or 2 big cards but not AK so AQ AJ AT KQ QJ or even JT. I like the limp reraise as a play but unless you are doing it with a premium hand the target must be able to throw away a hand and it should'nt be for all your chips. In this instance I think it is a case of right move wrong time. regards Ross |
