Not that you'd ever have any reason to be in Fall River, MA, but Mee Sum's has the best fried rice on the planet. Hands down. I'd recommend the chow mein too, but it's the crispy noodles, and I know not everyone is down with that.
Also, if you're in that area, there are many great options for chourico and chips sandwiches (people who don't know chourico: it's like chorizo, but Portuguese, and better). My favorite is a little hole in the wall in Swansea, MA (my hometown). Plaza Pizza. |

Portland Escape From NY Pizza on 23rd Not sure if it's unknown or not but Papa Hayden's on 23rd Sweet Oregon Grill out by Cornelius Pass [/ QUOTE ] Are all Papa Hayden's the same? I've been to the one in Sellwood, and driven past this one several times (I love that area around 23rd) but never gone. For Portland I'll vote for Noho's Hawaiian Cafe in Clinton. It's pretty solid. The best thing that they have is probably the Korean chicken. Also, if you go on Fridays the Kalua pig is very good. You get a lot food. For those familiar with food in Hawai'i it's plate lunch style so you get a couple scoops of rice, mac salad, and the meat bit. Prices are pretty reasonable 10-15 bucks. I really like that whole area. It's next to the theater that shows Rocky Horror every week and the coffee place at that intersection is extremely good as well. If I ever move to Portland the Clinton area is definately one place where I'll look. Jared |

Mexican Radio - Downtown NYC
This has to be some of the best Mexican food I ever ate. They have a huge huge selection of tequila (above and beyond Patron status). I have never been to Mexico however friends who have lived there swear by this place as being the most authentic. The portions were not to big or to small and prices were decent too. They also had a wide array of hot sauces and the guacamole was top notch just talking about this place makes me want to go. |

Boston:
Toscana Trattoria - Fenway, the best Italian food you'll find. They have Ribollita, an Italian soup that I haven't found anywhere else in the US. Matt Murphy's Pub - Brookline, good music, great irish food, great beer. I used to run the trivia on wednesday nights and the place is a blast. Umi - Fenway, great sushi place. Fresh fish, good chefs, and good prices. |

Baltimore:
Morning Edition Cafe, awesome little breakfast place. Cannella's or Pastore's are both great if you're looking for an Italian Deli. Claddagh's Pub- just a regular bar but they have great food; one of my favorites. Annapolis: Joss Cafe- best sushi place in MD. IMO |

Atlanta: Kool Korner on 14th - best cuban sandwiches ever. lots of history, the same smiling cuban dude has been working there forever, he must be 80. real hole-in-the-wall place, it's locally famous, but gets 0% tourists. [/ QUOTE ] KK is tops. Atlanta: Havana Sandwich on Buford Highway: Cuban grocery, resturant like KK, some say better. Elmyr on Euclid: Burrito place in the trendy Little 5 area, but all the way down the road near Variety Playhouse and some old garage/junk store you could buy fake ids. Never had a bad burrito here. Vittles on S.Cobb(Smyrna): Total [censored] hole, if you don't mind eating in a totally hillbilly dump, waitress have 5 teeth combined and call you darlin' and sweething, southern country style breakfast here is awesome and friggin' cheap. LaBella's on Sandy Plains(Marietta): NY style pizza, Rick the owner had a joint on Long Island for years opened this tiny place in the ATL, real deal here. Zeppoli on Sunday are the best in town IMO, NY Cannolis not the fake stuff. The Flying Biscuit Cafe on Mclendon(Candler Park): Sick delicious biscuits and new southern style food and vegitarian friendly menu. R. Thomas Deluxe on Peachtree: Organic menu, vegatarian friendly, really intresting variety of health concise food. BEST SWEET TEA in the SOUTH(IMO). I have to think of some others while working post more later. |
