[ QUOTE ]
i just finished reading 'the corporation' and i have to say i am extremely disappointed. what could have been an interesting discussion of economic theory fueled by reasonable arguments is cheapened by the constant use of misdirection and logical fallacies. i am more conservative than most and obviously much more right wing than the author, but i pride myself on being able to keep an open mind and was actually looking quite forward to reading this. it seems as though the author is trying to appeal to the portion of the population who likes to be told what to think and in my opinion amounts to little more than a socialist call to arms. it especially frustrates me because i know that a ton of people who don't often think for themselves will read this book and say "damn, he's right, down with corporations" when all that has been presented is a painfully one-sided logical mess. at least it will be easy to write a paper about this. i think i have hilighted around 100 lines and passages that have no place in the book; i could tear this thing apart for days.
