I rang PP support the other day (last week, i think) about this, and was told that they are working on the problem. I can upload a recording of the call if anyone is interested.
I have made a couple of posts in the 1TTF [censored] thread about this: [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Man so [censored] pissed Party poker has the crappiest software EVER. I lost like 300-400 to hands where my buttons just disappear. [censored] pissed, anybody else has this happen so much? [/ QUOTE ] I rang and abused them the other day - their most recent software upgrade* appears to have brought back problems from several months ago. In addition to the disappearing buttons, the speed tables have lost their numbers again. I suspect that you'll find that the likelihood of having your buttons disappear is proprtionate to the number of tables you play, and inversely proportionate to the amount of RAM your PC has. In my case, I find that playing 6 tables (and datamining others) on 1gb of RAM has not caused any troubles. I never ceased to be amazed at Party - for a company entirely dependent upon the operation of their software, they seem to perform very little testing of the software. *by "upgrade" I mean "changes that totally f--- up the whole f---ing program" [/ QUOTE ] and previously: [ QUOTE ] I hate party poker. They are [censored] morons. ![]() morons. no table numbers = pahud doesn't work. no buttons = playing poker doesn't work. they make me sad. [/ QUOTE ] |

Bump.
Surely this takes like one line of code. Seriously, give me $200 and your source code and I'll fix it for you. |

party should be offering refunds for a problem that happened due to THEIR 'upgrade'.
You guys who are continuing to play these things fully knowing that the buttons are disappearing really confuse me though. |

[/ QUOTE ] I actually think the Party client is quite good, but that has more to do with design than the actual coding. I imagine they have real programmers do the architecture and interface design, then give it to monkeys to write the actual code. |

[/ QUOTE ] Juk [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] The development team is continuing to look into the reported problems, but is having no luck in replicating the missing buttons. I myself have been trying to replicate it, without much luck. Unlike the previous Speed Sit&Go problem (Speed name), this time there are only the handful of complaints in this thread (nothing reported through CS) and the number of Speed Sit&Go’s played has not decreased (previously they dropped drastically). I am told that the renaming that happened this time could not be the cause. They will continue to look for the cause and hopefully identify it soon. |
