second the Cobain mention....I was 15 or so and just really getting into Nirvana....I heard it on the radio and thought it was a joke or something...really made me sad that he did that to himself...

Agree with Cobain and Hartman, and along those lines Elliott Smith.
Although I can't say I was genuinely sad, I thought it was a shame that JFK Jr. died...he had the potential to do good things in his lifetime.

Also, Farley lovers, Chris' younger brother Kevin is starting to have some success, and is reminiscent of his older brother Chris in a way that is highly endearing while not being spooky.

 As do all racing fatalities... but I truly liked Dale Earnhardt. I remember I was stocking shelves at the local grocery store when I found out about it. My mom actually called me to tell me what happened. Just before work I watched the end of the Daytona 500. I saw The Crash before I left but I thought that he'd be ok. As most of you know it did not look that severe. I was very surprised and sad when my mom called me at work to tell me my favorite nascar driver had died [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] .

Phil Hartman was the one that really got to me. Most of the other ones, either I just didn't care about the person, or they kinda did it to themselves. Tragic as the deaths of Cobain, Farley and Belushi might be, they were self inflicted so a little bit of sympathy goes away.
