Laak seems to be in the "love him or hate him" category. Personally I like watching him play. He's a goofy guy having fun and acting dumber than he is, and he has some good reads up his sleeve as well.

By the way, I'm pretty sure Barack Obama pretends to be a baptist -- if he were an atheist he'd know he'd have no shot at the White House,

Laak's schtick is the same everytime.

physical antics (push ups, sit ups, running behind the dealer, etc.)
+
"Is he allowed to do that? To <mundane activity>?"
+
"So sick"
+
trying to see other people's cards by looking, grabbing, or offering cash

Please, for the love of God (or whatever you believe, which nobody cares about in this forum), COLOR UP THE CHIPS SO IT DOESN'T TAKE 5 MINUTES AND 3 RECOUNTS TO COUNT DOWN AN ALL-IN!!

It is painful to watch Phil Laak. I can't stand how after every hand he asks to see the other players' crads. Phil Laak is a Nit.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is that why he went into push-bot poker for about 15 min?

Personally, I find Phil Laak to be wildly entertaining. That and I want to completely thieve his poker vocab. What's the general consensus on him.

Laak is better on High Stakes Poker where he's more subdued. He's one of the best players I've watched on television--more so at cash games(High Stakes Poker) as I've only seen a bit of his tourney play(on PAD).

Also WTF is up with Helmuth I never have seen him play anything but weak tight, and when he tries to mix it up it reminds me of a bad 5+50 SNG player.

Thank you for comparing me to Phil Hellmuth!

Did anyone hear Harman request that her water be only Aquafina? Come on, surely no one can tell the difference between the taste of bottled waters.

[/ QUOTE ]

You have to be kidding. If not then I'm afraid your tonguebox is broken. Aquafina is one I personally hate, has too much of a chemically-aftertaste for me. Dasani is ultra smooth and fresh tasting. Both compared to my tap water are loads better, which tastes horrible.

That replay where Harman attempted to look at Laak's cards was hillarious. They actually had two different angles and ran it in slow-mo. What was funnier is when Laak actually got serious for the first time this show, and told Harman, "In the future please don't look at my hand" hahaha!
